Where It Began

Every collection begins long before the first sketch.

It begins with a point of view. The things we return to. The fabrics we trust. The values that quietly shape each decision.

When the brand was established ten years ago, it began with eight white shirts. A single focus that reflected an enduring belief of simplicity, authenticity and thoughtful design. 

This philosophy continues to guide the brand. While each collection introduces something new, the intention remains the same: to create pieces made to be worn, lived in and loved over time.

'From the Land' is a continuation of this story.

From Somewhere

There is a permanence to the land.

It doesn't respond to seasons, trends or changing tastes. It simply exists, carrying the same honesty it always has. It’s colours shift, its textures evolve, but its character remains.

'From the Land' looks beyond the landscape as decoration, drawing instead from it’s natural beauty and its simplicity.

The collection doesn't seek to mimic the land. It seeks to carry it's perspective.

What Endures

At White Story, each piece is designed to hold its place in a wardrobe, to be returned to and worn well beyond the season.

This comes back to the principles that have shaped White Story from the beginning: a respect for fabric, an attention to construction and an enduring approach to craft.

'From the Land' sits within that balance, moving the collection forward while remaining authentic in what has always mattered.

Craft Before Design

For our Founder & Creative Director, each collection begins with how a fabric feels in her hands - the richness of wool herringbone, the dry handle of linen, the softness of cashmere, the structure of crisp cotton. These qualities inform the direction of each piece.

The same instinct guides colour. White Story has never relied on abstract prints or bold colour, instead working with tones that feel natural and familiar. In Spring ’26, 'From the Land', the palette takes its cues directly from the landscape.

From there, the silhouette takes shape - fabric and colour inform the proportion and construction, with craftsmanship evident in every detail.

Opening the Door

As White Story enters its tenth year, 'From the Land' marks the first time our Founder & Creative Director shares more of the inspiration that shaped her long before the brand began.

Captured at her family’s country property, the collection sits within a landscape deeply connected to her family history. It's influence can be seen in what she is naturally drawn to - earthy tones, tactile textures and noble fibres.

The Next Chapter

Ten years on, White Story continues to build on the same foundations it began with.

'From the Land' shares more of where those values come from and the places and experiences that have shaped the brand along the way. New fabrics, silhouettes and ideas will continue to move us forward, building naturally on what is already there.
